Displays a window in which you can see and modify the license information.

Check For Newer Version

Connects to the Otherwise web site to see if a newer version of Parsnips is available for downloading.

Close

Closes the main window. On Mac, Parsnips will remain running and the drop window will be available. On Windows, Parsnips will quit.

New Item

Creates a new Untitled item for editing in the Display Pane.

Save Item

Saves and indexes the item currently being edited..

Delete Item

Deletes the currently selected item.

Import Files From Directory...

Brings up a File dialog allowing you to select a directory of files to import into Parsnips.

Import Bookmarks...

Brings up a File dialog allowing you to select a bookmark file to import. All web pages you have bookmarks to will be downloaded and indexed. Click here for more information on bookmark files.

Export All Items In Results List...

Exports all items displayed in the Results Pane to directory you specify. A separate file will be created for each item with the file's name being taken for the item's title. These items can be reimported if desired using the Import Files... command.

Delete All Items In Results List

Deletes all items currently displayed in the Results Pane.

Enter Query

Moves the keyboard focus to the Query field and selects any text there. This is done in preparation for typing a new query string.

Optimize Database

Compresses and optimizes the database. You should execute this command after several hunded or more items have been added or deleted.

Print...

Prints the currently selected item.
